This ongoing series of Studio Arts Exploration classes offers students a well-rounded experience of all three Jamestown Arts Center studios. Each session will use a unique theme or specific artist as an inspiration and focus that will guide them through a five-week exploration of several mediums. Elements of design and art history will be discussed and used as a catalyst for creative experimentation. Students will create works in clay in the Ceramics Studio C, experiment with a variety of printmaking techniques in the Printmaking Studio A, and make mixed media work through drawing, painting, collage, or digital art in the Digital Arts Studio B. The creative thread that runs through each week culminates in a final reception (the last 15 minutes of the last class) in which the students exhibit (or perform!) their work for family and friends before taking it home.

Scholarships available! Please contact melinda@jamestownartcenter.org for more information.
