Artistic Interpretations is a community exhibition of student artwork created by artists in Pre-K through fourth grade at the Melrose School in Jamestown. Over 1,000 student artworks and installations fill the JAC galleries and reflect the dedicated and imaginative students at the Melrose School Art Studio. Artworks include ceramics, printmaking, painting, watercolor, sculpture, collage, drawing, puppetry, and kinetic art—all with the focus of student-centered art investigations.

Plan Your Visit: Gallery Hours January 15 - March 5, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays 11 am - 3 pm and Thursdays 11 am - 7 pm. Masks are required at the JAC.

The exhibition celebrates collaboration and community in every way–to the projects each grade level and classroom created together to how local artists and initiatives were incorporated into the Melrose Art Studio. Some collaborative projects on display include a "Glowing Matisse Goldfish" installation by Grade Two students, watercolor stained glass paintings by Grade Three, giant puppet portraits of artists Frida Kahlo, Alma Thomas and Yayoi Kusama by Grade Four students and so much more.
