Lower and Middle School Arts Education
JAC seeks to offer children a place in the community that encourages artistic freedom, experimentation, and camaraderie. By creating affordable, accessible on-island learning opportunities for children we can inspire a sense of self worth and belonging.Children will experience the arts beyond their school walls with professional island artists. Dance, theater, music, writing, as well as visual arts classes including ceramics and photography, will be available to each child. Whether exploring a new discipline or intensifying a study of another as a public, private or home schooled student, our children will be able to come to the Jamestown Arts Center and discover themselves.
High School
In a respectful, supportive and fun artistic atmosphere, our young adults can learn respect and self confidence. JAC will provide island teens with classes geared to their growing artistic abilities. They will be engaged and challenged by opportunities to volunteer, intern, and be mentored. As they learn in close proximity to professional artists, young adults will learn ways to make art a viable career choice.FREE Newsletter.
