Nina A. Baugh: In Search of a Studio of Her Own

Nina A. Baugh: In Search of a Studio of Her Own
Portrait of a young Philadelphia/Jamestown Artist in the early 20th Century
Artwork from the Private Biddle Cotter Family Collection
In Collaboration with the Jamestown Historical Society

Family members recently uncovered portraits in pastels and oil  produced by Nina A. Baugh Gopcevic (1908-1981). She created the artwork between the ages of thirteen and twenty-five when she married. Pieces from the Nina A. Baugh collection, complemented by art treasures from the Jamestown Historical Society, provide us a rare glimpse into the life of a young and gifted artist and into daily life on Conanicut Island in the 1920s and 1930s.
