Jamestown Alliance for Artist Sustainability presents the Jamestown Open Studio Tour
The second annual open studio tour of Jamestown artists’ studios and workspaces will be held on Saturday August 1st from 9am to 4pm. Twenty-one artists will participate at thirteen different locations throughout Jamestown. Visit these artists and watch the behind the scenes techniques they utilize to create magnificent works of art which will be for sale at their studios. Visitors can pick up a map at the Jamestown Arts Center, 18 Valley Street, where ceramic and printmaking artists will be working. The following artists will be participating: Anne Marie Alberino, Jillian Barber, Shirley Bell, Jennifer and David Clancy, Peter Converse, Peter Diepenbrock, Carol Gates, Fran Gorman, Deb Goyette, Tracy Jonsson, Alex Kent, Deb Lichtenstein, Elaine Porter, Ernie Savastano, Chris Smeraldi, Natalie Squillante, Rene Stawicki, Didi Suydam, and Casey Weibust. In addition, numerous artists will have their work on display at Bridges’ Out of the Box Studio and store.
The studio tour is organized by the Jamestown Alliance for Artist Sustainability (JAAS) that has a free and open membership, and seeks to help create an environment that supports and sustains the artist community in Jamestown. The JAAS thanks this year’s sponsors: Bank Newport, Cathryn Jamieson Salon, and the Jamestown Arts Center for their continued support of the arts in Jamestown. And thanks to our map artist Kate Mercer. Requests for digital maps may be made at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The JAC is pleased to have our print and ceramics studios open during the tour.
